Michael is Super Five!

Today is Michaels fifth birthday! I find myself amazed and honored to be his Mom. We have been celebrating all month long and it has been great. On December 8th he had his party with his friends. It was a Super Five party! Each child claimed their special powers and turned into their own Super Hero, it was something else to see all these dynamos running with their personalized capes (made by Auntie I), there was Super Michael, Super Grace, Super Jack, Super Liam, Super Paris, Super Orion and many more! Papa and Uncle Brian were the Super Hero coaches who lead the kids through games and it was beyond fun.
Tonight on Michael's official birthday we had a wonderful family party and made homemade pizza together. We have a great time cooking together and are regulars at watching the Food Network and Ratatouille.

What an appropriate way to acknowledge this beautiful boy. He is so loving and so much fun and I give thanks each day for the miracle of Michael in my life and in this world. Love....

The Beginning of Our Christmas

Tonight was the beginning of our Christmas celebration. One thing I love about our family is that we can have a party in a blink of an eye. Candles, roses, music and yummy food set the stage for a sweet night of laughter. There was a deep sense of gratitude to be together and to be family. Isn't that what it is all about?

We opened a great surprise package from Sue and called her to say thanks, her sense of humor is classic! Michael danced with Nana around the Penguin's singing Carols, Iris (aka the Diva) played Ms. Santa with her generosity of gifts and Bourke made a grand elf (although we did speak to him about if his ears were on straight!), as for me, I ate my weight in raspberries. All is Well. Merry Christmas. Love....

The Way of Love

My Mom, the amazing angel known as Hazel loves Saint Theresa. Saint Theresa lived in France and known as the little flower. Theresa is Moms patron sainte and she has a beautiful picture of her with the most beautiful tones of blue around her. Mom has had it in her bedroom since I was a little girl.

Saint Theresa is known as the Saint of the Little Ways, meaning she believed in doing the little things in life well and with great love. She is represented by roses. May everyone who receives this message be blessed.

Saint Theresa's Prayer. May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

Here's to the real feeling of Christmas and this sacred season of love.

Polar Express Pajama Day!

Michael had a great day. He's been waiting all week for Pajama day. All the children in his class and their teachers wore pajamas. The Bears class read the Polar Express, had cocoa and then had a snowball fight (with cotton balls)! What a great holiday celebration. Michael's teacher Mrs. Suarez and Mrs. Gallardo are so wonderful we love them. You can see in their eyes that they love Micheal right back!

Good Morning

As I awake I realize that last night I started this blog in bliss, covered with periwinkle paint from the Christmas orniments wearing my favorite woren out jeans and "life is good" velvet tee shirt. During this time of Christmas, I find myself remembering and feeling the sweetness and profoundity of this season and realize this year I am so grateful that deep in my heart I feel this way thru out the year.

So I am squeezing this in between, making Michaels lunch for pre-school and taking my vitamins and being thankful that Bourke is dressing Michael for school so I can have this moment. The day begins with light and hope. So here's my holiday wish to you. May you be filled with great light and hope. Love......

Angels on Earth

Hi,
Here is the Leader of our Tribe aka Nana. If you look closely you can see her wings. Okay, you don't have to look too close.
No worries, I will get the picture lesson from Julie soon.

28th Years of Dating and Adventure and Love.........

Okay, I am inspired tonight. I know I can figure this thing out to download pictures. I started to blog when Michael was just learning how to crawl out of his crib and now he is driving his own car (battery driven roadster that is). So we are here and excited to be so.

Bourke and I celebrated our 28th anniversary of our first date last night. Fabulous, Parmesan chicken and rice pasta then making Christmas decorations. Turned down going out to nest with the tribe and we loved every minute of it.

Wow, 28 years of dating seems amazing. I still find Bourke to be the most beautiful guy in the world. Life is an adventure and he still has that boyish charm and looks....good thing cause it saves him. Truth is his kind and generous way are straigtht from heaven and I feel blest.

Our anniversary gift from Michael was a handmade surprise ala the Bears Pre-School class. A clever Christmas Card holder with a specially made card in which he wrote the whole message and his name himself. Did I mention, he totally rocks? More to come as I figure out the photo deal and catch you up on more of the recent happenings at the ranch.

Love....
